This 1961 Mercedes-Benz 190SL was purchased by the current owner in 2016 and subsequently moved to Geldern, Germany, where it was refurbished by Thissen Auto Restoration between 2018 and 2023. The car was subsequently imported back to California after refurbishment work that included overhauling the replacement 1.9-liter inline-four as well as stripping and refinishing the body in silver. A black soft top is accompanied by a red top boot and red leather upholstery, and additional features include a four-speed manual transmission, a push-button Becker radio, dual Weber carburetors, and power-assisted drum brakes. This 190SL is now offered on dealer consignment with refurbishment photos and records as well as a clean California title.
